Leadership is a magical word. We speak of leadership in virtually every context – sports, politics, military, business, research, and schools. To most individuals leadership is a positive assessment of an individual or group behavior. To many it is the key to success. Yet, even with all its positive connotations, leadership is difficult, situational, and a balancing art. Seven basic dilemmas of leadership and one general one are reviewed in the attached power point, to give you a sense of the key issues that must be negotiated to be an effective leader.
